Berkeley Brown studied jewellery in Canada and graduated from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 2009. After having her solo graduation exhibition, Whisked Away, she moved to Glasgow where she is currently an artist in resident at the Glasgow School of Art and works for a local jewellery gallery/designer.
Berkeley Brown’s jewellery is inspired by her love of jewellery’s potential for precise movement and interaction, in combination with a passion for baking and cooking utensils. Necklaces inspired by whisks and spatulas, along with rings that spin in a way that recalls the motion of whisking, leave the practicalities of the original utensil behind, creating whimsical adornment.
