Inspired predominantly by the landscape of the Scottish Highlands my designs are built on reputation of the intricate patterns that are rooted in this environment. My interest in this area has lead to research into Folk songs and tales that are present in these surroundings. My designs are created using a combination of the two areas of research to produce jewellery that represents more than just the landscape but tells the story of the setting in which it is situated.
For this collection I have focused on the track, "The Hazards of Love 2 (Wager All)", from the album “The Hazards of Love” by the Decemberists.
